Flue-Cured Virginia

The leaf that carries its own signature

A tobacco type recognised for its distinctive characteristics: colour, aroma, texture and a suitability for blending and manufacturing that buyers around the world build on.
Our Tobacco

Sourced and processed to keep the leaf intact

Our tobacco is carefully sourced and processed to retain the natural qualities of the leaf. What arrives at destination should still carry the character it developed in the field and the barn.

We focus on tobacco that is

  • Rich in character
  • Consistent in quality
  • Carefully processed
  • Properly graded
  • Suitable for international markets
  • Available to customer specification

Our experience allows us to understand the characteristics of tobacco at different stages and to work with customers to meet their particular requirements.

From Green Leaf to Lamina

One of our key strengths is the ground we cover

Our capabilities extend from the green leaf stage to the lamina stage, giving us greater control over quality, processing and product consistency.

Stage 01

Green Leaf

The process begins with carefully selected tobacco at the green leaf stage. Proper handling and preparation here protect the quality of everything that follows.

Stage 02

Curing

The tobacco undergoes flue-curing, allowing the leaf to develop its characteristic colour, aroma, texture and other desirable qualities.

Processing

Once cured, the tobacco is conditioned and prepared for processing through controlled handling and threshing operations.

Stage 04

Threshing

The leaf is processed to separate leaf material from stem, producing the primary tobacco components required for further processing.

Lamina

The resulting tobacco lamina is carefully handled, graded and prepared according to the required specifications.

This integrated process allows Agile Tobacco to maintain a close connection between the original leaf and the final processed product.
